BALLAST QUAY

Welcome to the BALLAST QUAY website.
The material it contains stems from the exhibition 'A History of Ballast Quay & Union Wharf'
held in the Union Wharf garden as part of the Open Garden Squares weekend, 14th-15th June 2014.   We are very
grateful to the Trustees of Morden College and to the Greenwich Heritage Centre for access to material from their archives and to the many friends of Ballast Quay for their contribution of text and images from their own collections.
We hope you enjoy exploring the history of this unique street of Grade II late Georgian and early Victorian
riverside houses with its own historic pub, the Cutty Sark Tavern.
